Columbine students now 40 years old, with grade-schoolers of their own. My heart just keeps breaking. I can't imagine not only those impacted by yesterday's event...but I also can't begin to imagine the repeated trauma for those who have traveled this road before and have to relive it with each new shooting. Indeed hope does not live here today. (((hugs))) to all of the beloved children, teachers, families...my own and those I've never met.
This is Marti. The children, the teacher, the families, the friends, the sorrow, the unbelievable loss, Uvalde, Buffalo, everywhere that these tragic incidents have happened...a heart can only withstand so much, before hope is shattered. The Congressman from Sandy Hook yesterday beseeching his colleagues to do something...the question that rises is simply, WHY can't we stop this...?
hear,hear.
ReplyDeleteI am in shock
ReplyDeletehope is elusive
