5 Things Friday
Community
Just 5 of the important things about community...
- Community supports one another, when we need it...gives us a push, when we need it.
- Community teaches us skills in a variety of ways, such as: communication, tasks or life lessons.
- Within a community, one can feel inspired, safe and loved.
- Communities give...give to each other, give of ourselves, give gifts...give, which allows us to give in return. Community is a circle.
- Community lifts us when we are down, celebrates the high points and sticks around for the mundane.

*NOTE: The yarn in this post came from Hazel within a delicious little box of yellows & a green!
❤️ Thank you Hazel ❤️
I did a little finger crocheting at lunch today with the soft, fine Moon yellow.
Awesome!
May you find your community
May you enjoy as many communities as you want or need
May know the love, care, fun and flavor of community

it takes time and mutual effort to create and continue a community ... like a good marriage, I suppose ... the wonder of it is how the effort is repaid many times over in love and care
ReplyDeleteLiz~ I agree, relationships need to be nurtured...and yes, more than worth it! ❤️
DeleteHappy to see it become something! Happy to be a part of a strong circle, too, oxo.
ReplyDeleteHazel~ Becoming indeed! So glad we circle 'round together! xo
DeleteLiz has said it so well, I agree wholeheartedly and so have nothing to add;-)
ReplyDeleteSaskia~ (((smile))) I land in that place a lot too ๐ Love to you.
DeleteI like the idea of many communities that might become a community.
ReplyDeleteJude~ There are so many ways, yes? (((hugs)))
DeleteFROM MARTI: Nancy, this blog post wraps around me like a circle of loving arms: Circles hold so much: joy, sorrow, silliness, seriousness, comfort, laughter, sharing, connecting. When you find a circle that contains all of that, you find community.
ReplyDeleteDear Marti~ Yes to all of your descriptive words. I especially paused at stillness. What a great thought provoking word choice. I've come to believe that sometimes you know the feeling of belonging and connection when there is no need for all of the noise and one can still together with others in calm and stillness. xo ⭕️
DeleteGROM MARTI AGAIN: So I went to see my comment and I wish I had used the word, "stillness" but I didn't...what I wrote was "silliness" because I think, especially these days, a bit of humor is essential. Your point about stillness, thought, is quite apt because when you find a community that you feel you belong to, those moments of quiet are as important as the rest...
DeleteMarti~ Silliness is important and appreciated (yes, especially in harder times). I love when J. and I are laughing til it hurts & causes asthma or when Jude gets silly on her blog ๐ Balance in all things, eh?
DeleteI'm glad I misread your word choice Marti! haha
xo
i am part of your community and you of mine.
ReplyDeleteGlennis~ Yes indeed, we are! I was looking at this page (among others), which took place in Long Beach...Long Beach which kept popping up today (and here you are ๐)...anyway, it felt like there is a lot of good art/life stuff going on down there! Now if gas wasn't so costly!
