A Little Late

Last time I told you I'd post some pictures from the Petroglyph National Monument,
but, I am so slow to get to it!
Anyway, we walked this short, easy trail: Rinconada Canyon Trail

CELEBRATION

I'm back.

I was recently in Albuquerque, NM

Flying into Vegas for a plane switch

My daughter graduated there, so I went to celebrate her!

My boy met me there.  That was a surprise to her.

S U R P R I S E!!!!!

We all find her name in the program!

He is super glad to see his Uncle!

We went out to eat, played poker, watched Overboard (a family favorite) 

and generally hung out together.

It was long overdue and wonderful to see all three of them.

On Sunday, we went here, but I'll save that for the next post.

Easy walk to view amazing history!

On the last flight home, the gentleman across the aisle from me was working on this.

It will be a teddy bear when complete and will travel off to this worthy cause:

Tonight I'm off to the Relay for Life event.
Another worthy cause.

UPDATE:
On Monday men did work in the school yard.  On Tuesday we noticed the hummingbird and the two eggs (we had discovered a second egg days after the first one) were gone.  We have not seen her again and are all so sad.

Spring Bird

It is Springtime in the trees at work!

A co-worker showed me where this nest was.

So I had to catch a photograph or two.

The mama is not too thrilled with the amount of activity that surrounds her on a daily basis.

She must thrill in the quiet of the weekends!

Look at this beautiful still life.

Life in the waiting.

It looks so big, but it is not.

Enjoy this mama, resting quietly.

Really pretty amazing to see, for a humming bird.
