Park Trees

The Golden Hour

LINK

I came upon this video and it made me smile and think of the small envelope-pockets, stuffed with wallet sized photos that I've worked on recently. Small art of any kind works for me! Little collections to dream with.

Today was a Parks Project day. We'd tried to walk at this park once before, but it was a weekend day and there was no parking & lots of people, so we put it off. Today we went back. A very typical neighborhood park. We walked the circumference and rated it a two. The weather was just right at about 81 degrees, no wind.

It seems that some of the trees were a species unknown to us...and they all held some sort of berry or seedpod.

A beautiful oak right across from the play structure, surrounded by a low wall, perfect for sitting on to watch your children. A lone man-made rock for...? What? Chasing around, hiding behind, climbing?

A Chinaberry tree (perhaps?).

The part of the mountain on the left, the one with the chain fence, represents progress...and on the right = history. What a dramatic statement.

Sycamore seedpods, leaf at rest.

I've been working on the purple glue book. It is coming along. Maybe photos soon.

I'm adding the Power Words to the dyed fabric. Going slowly and carefully and doing as best as I can. The first one I inadvertently misspelled the very last word. Grrr. However, I just got it off and called it done and good enough. Letting go.

Up the road from the park...we came to the end!

When do you find value in returning to place?

May you visit places that suit you

May you partake in activities that suit you

May you investigate things that suit you
