For Every Generation - Nights 3 & 4

I didn't come here to post last night, but I'm here tonight!

So, Happy Hanukkah, nights 3&4!

 Each night more light arrives.

Last night I was busy with a family Hanukkah-Birthday Zoom-Call. It was absolutely precious to hear my great niece's 4 year old voice tangled in with those of the many adults!

One of the cousins led a zoom sing-along, which was pretty funny if you know the ins and outs of how zoom has audio delays!  This is one of the songs below, which totally spoke to my 40ish years working with children.

Then came a call from my son & wife with news of grandsons, and their celebration meal and present opening!

Sharing during covid involves lots of distance.

 ❤

Tonight, I watched the CNN special Heroes, which was so heartwarming, inspiring and uplifting. Just what is needed as 2020 comes to an end.

I learned of this young man, Cavanaugh Bell.

He is a powerhouse of goodness and positivity. He's done so much to help others. He's got his own website: coolanddope

He even did a TEDx talk when he was even younger!

What a lovely way to share the light!

May you find & share light

May you find & share lightness

May you lean into that light

Nancy, you bring forth the light of your traditions, sharing your caring, your family love and togetherness. Light provides clarity, warmth, enables us to move forward even when it looks like the dark will prevail. It takes courage to seek the light and in the gift of your sharing of Cavanaugh Bell, we see how hope rises from seeking the light. Cavanaugh's words here are quite moving, especially when you realize that he is 7 yrs old:

"After I was bullied and I felt a darkness inside of me, I knew I didn't want other kids to feel the same way I felt,” he wrote on his GoFundMe page. “So, I asked my mom if she could help me spread love and positivity. And, the more I gave back to my community, the more I wanted to keep doing it.”

Marti~ Thank you so much...you always see the best in everyone and are kind down to your bones! I will admit that seeing and feeling the light is not always easy (for me at least), but I try to keep working at it, because it is so worth it.
Seeing this young man with so much light, he radiates! How can I resist sharing?! You too are a light to so many here in the cloth circle. Your story sharing and kindness shine over us all. xo
