a place to wander...
~Within her last comment to me..."Meanwhile dear one I'm grateful to come to you this morning and write it down. There's a strong relief in the blog world of friends. One is not alone for the moment."I think I shall go sit at her house for a bit, while it's still there.
Here was a fine New York Woman, fearless in her sharing of her life with us, her many midnight strolls, her openness and kindness to those she met along the path, both actual and in ...A candle is lit for Michelle on my altar and I'm thinking of that great song, sung by Frank Sinatra, "New York, New York." These lyrics,"Start spreadin' the news, I'm leavin' todayI want to be a part of itNew York, New YorkThese vagabond shoes, are longing to stray"Michelle will forever be straying along her beloved neighborhoods and New York Parks and I am so glad that she took us along with her when she was here.
Marti, I knew you'd come here, share words and this moment in time. I'm so grateful for you, for what you bring to my life. xo
Thank you for this post Nancy. Michelle leaves a sad empty place among us.
Dana, yes, a big empty hole in our world. I'm glad for your words here, so that we may grieve together and so that we may show deep appreciation for one another as we move forward through this time. xo
how we gather in our own way to honor her
(((Nancy))) with tears in my eyes reading Marti's comment with the lines to that great old song "New York, New York" thinking of those vagabond shoes on her midnight strolls & how much love she shared for the nitty gritty of her Big City
(((Mo))) - yes, her city. As I said at Dee's, Michelle gave me a connection to my birthplace that I'd never really felt. I will so miss that about her.Michelle's midnight strolls always amazed me, knowing I'd be too chicken to wander the streets in the dark like that! All night I kept thinking of one thing after another about Michelle that I have loved and will miss.Mo, I'm so grateful for your presence here in my life. May we hold each other in times of sorrow, as well as in times of joy. Thank you for being here for all of it. xo
I loved her eye, the photos of what drew her in. She was a talentedartist.
Patty, she was indeed. I think her big heart shared all she saw, loved...She will, is already, so missed. xo

Yvette,Yes, I do believe she sensed what was coming and I hope she is free, free, free rom all that ailed her, both body and heart.I feel the same way, she has been a blessing in my life, as have you. I'm very glad I found this special space of Spirit Cloth all those years ago. The richness added to my life by you and so many others is endless. Thank you for being here on the trail Yvette! xo
we need this circle, it is a basket
Jude, we sure do! Thanks to you, our ringleader...the frame at the base where the basket begins. I've been thinking of you Jude and the ways this loss may feel and remembering a photo at your old house, a celebration, Michelle was there.I'm grateful for each and every one of the friendships and riches you have brought into my life, but you know all of that, don't you?xo
