Small Stone #14

Small Stone #14:

Sailboat moon in the blue-black sky, watching.  Leaves and trash skittering across the road in front of me, winds rocking my car back and forth...back and forth on the asphalt sea.  Slowing for the all day shadowed spots for fear of ice, driving on a winter's night.  Homeward bound.

oh, to arrive home safely! how grateful one can be in a snow covered landscape, beautiful and yet treacherous at times

That's a winter I'm not familiar with....ice and snow on the roads. I'm so lucky not to have to contend with that (but then again, I miss out on a lot of the beauty you describe too).

Safe driving.

Beauty and danger. I watched Grey Cat, a frequent visitor, balance carefully, stepping slowly & with hesitation as he walked along the fence he usually has no difficulty traveling.
