Small Stone #10:
The miniature sink meets my knees and his chest. Water on, he reaches forward. He wiggles his fingers and tickles the water with one hand. Then, pivoting his body, he lets the water flow over his other hand and wrist. I place a mall squirt of soap on his tiny palm and he rubs both hands together. But, he rinses them one at a time, turning his body slightly as he switches hands. This is what hand washing looks like when you're 18 months old and too little to reach the back of the sink, where the faucet resides.
