10 Minute Drill # 19 - Solar Eclipse!

Well, that's it!  No special lens...glasses or whatever.
I just messed around taking photos out back.
I found if I tilt the computer screen a bit, I get a different view!
Enjoy :)

we had 58% coverage of the sun with the solar eclipse before the sun went down. i did not look. i have limited vision as it is and it is too dangerous to look without the proper equipment. i remember many years ago, when working in ny, there was a solar eclipse and we all were allowed to go outside to view. we had all kinds of specially made glasses to prevent damage to the eyes. a spectacular event to see.

So, is the moon covering the sun in these pictures? Sorry, its hard for me to tell b/c the sun looks so bright. Its interesting that shot with what appear to be 4 red moons around the sun. Thanks for sharing.

Deanna~ We had pretty good coverage that many people went to Griffith Observatory to see! They were even giving (or was it selling) the special glasses in the gift shop! But it is quite a drive in traffic, so we opted out! I did not Really look at the sun either...just kind of pointed the camera in the general direction and snapped pictures :)

Janet~ Yes, moon blocking sun. I had no special equipment so the pictures are what they are!!
