10 Minute Drill #16 - Weeeeeee

OK...environmental impact aside (because how many could really be brave enough anyway)...
How would it feel to fly?
The most recent research says swinging is good for brain development and brain organization skills!  Yet more and more schools have been removing swing-sets.  Do YOU like to swing?  When was the last time you had this kind of swinging good time?
This is some powerful brain fun!!  Heehee
It made me smile :)
And some of the other videos below look rather intriguing,
but I'm off to help my sister unpack more boxes.
Go here to see the swing
Have a Swinging Sunday folks!

OMG a bit to much for me, my hands are damp from perspiration just looking at the video. Nothing to do with the home made swing that my Granfather built at the back of the garden and which gave me so much fun!

OMG! That is more than swinging!

I'm cursing the new word verification--Blogger needs to return to the old version.

Deanna- Actually, swinging makes me a bit nauseous, but I do like them briefly!

Saskia- That would be wild, eh?!!!

Serena- Yes there is a big movement right now for the "outdoor classroom" and getting kids back outside and active!

Aracne- How sweet to have memories of a grandfather built swing :)

Jenclair- I hate the new word verification too. I've had to give up a few times as these old eyes just didn't see it well enough!

hi it's Acey - typed my comment but couldn't get it through since i've apparently forgotten my google pastword. my favorite part of that video was the yelling and screaming. Wouldn't want to try jumping off mid-swing like we used to do at the playground when we were kids ...

Nancy, they are crazy people! ;-) I get scared watching it.

The latest is that slides are being removed, just heard that on NPR, I think.

Acey- I know, huh? Their crazy glee...fun to witness! What a natural high for them...but no jumping off, you're right!

Peggy- SLides too...OH NOOOooooo....

I so could not do that, so wouldn't. But... We had a tire swing growing up made with a tractor tire. We used to spin it it up so tight that it would almost be horizontal when it un-spun. At least until we got it so tight one time that the person on the swing had blood vessels pop in her face.
